a Climber’s Cooking Corner
Cooking up a great meal outdoors is a challenge…
It has always made me curious to know what great recipes one could whip up with when you’re on the go. Without any professional kitchen utensils, you’ll probably think the best way to keep your stomach quiet is to buy can food from the next supermarket and warm them up. Well, if you’re extremely hungry and hate cooking…that’s one solution.
There’s actually nothing better than cooking outside. Fresh air, space to mess around without really having to worry about cleaning those fatty squirks later, it’s the ideal opportunity to dash out a great, tasty, simple meal real fast- a challenge, when a hungry partner is waiting for his/her meal.
Equipped with just a non regulating MSR Whisperlight burner (a true freind for the past 10 years), 1x 18/10 Sandwich pot, 2 Stainlees steel pots and real basic cookery utensils, I’d like to share with you a few of my recipes, and am hoping to hear what you guys have in turn to share and to tell me how these recipes work out.
Non climbers are welcome too – so long you’re camping & cooking outdoors! 🙂
